We have been given a glimpse of the Green Bay Packers new uniforms that will be worn this season, and they look amazing.
The Packers unleashed a video on their official Twitter account on Thursday morning, showcasing the “history-inspired” throwback uniforms from the 1950s. These things are crisp, clean and prominently feature the Packers’ two iconic colors of green and gold.
While most people tend to like the jerseys themselves, not having the Green Bay G emblazoned on the helmet is an issue.
Check out what throwback jerseys the Packers will be wearing at some point later this season.
Green Bay Packers new uniforms: Packers 1950 uniform revealed
No matter how good they look this season, and pretty much every season, the Packers should be one of the best teams in the NFC this year.
Assuming they get another MVP-level season out of franchise quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay should be the favorite to win the NFC North again. From there, the Packers are among a handful of NFC teams who can reach Super Bowl 56.
Packers uniform history
Throughout their history, the Packers really haven’t changed up their look all that much. That comes across in how similar the Packers retro jersey looks compared to the one they wear every Sunday in modern times.
Though the Packers have not won the NFC in over a decade now, anything short of a Super Bowl berth, and probably a Super Bowl 56 victory, will be viewed as a massive disappointment. The offense is balanced, the defense is solid and the Packers have the right head coach in Matt LaFleur. This is a season with lofty expectations for the Packers, but will they live up to them?
Regardless, the Packers are clearly winning the throwback jersey game with these cool uniforms.
