Tyreek Hill flattened by Orlando Brown Jr. in epic Chiefs celebration

The Kansas City Chiefs are in the midst of OTAs this week, and newcomer Orlando Brown Jr. introduced himself to Tyreek Hill, perhaps too aggressively.

Welcome to the Kansas City Chiefs.

This week, the Chiefs are rolling through the next phase of OTAs as they embark on reaching the Super Bowl for the third time in as many seasons. One new face, left tackle Orlando Brown Jr., is clearly excited about being part of the team.

So excited, that on a touchdown pass to Tyreek Hill, the 355-pound Pro Bowler got a bit aggressive and met Hill in the air for a body bump. Hill, about half Brown’s weight, went flying through the air before crashing to the ground.

Good news, though! Everyone is fine, and now Brown knows he can’t careen into the diminutive Hill as we get towards mandatory minicamp, training camp and the regular season.

Here’s the guessing Hill is still more than happy to have Brown on the squad. After releasing a pair of injured, veteran tackles in Eric Fisher and Mitchell Schwartz, general manager Brett Veach needed to find a replacement. While the team tried to sign left tackle Trent Williams, the free agent elected to return to the San Francisco 49ers.

After the crux of free agency ended, the Chiefs surprised many by landing Brown in a huge deal with the Baltimore Ravens. The two teams exchanged a bevy of draft picks, with Brown being the centerpiece of the deal. He has one year remaining on his contract and sources tell FanSided he’s expected to play it out before the two sides figure out the best path moving forward.

Brown, 24, is a two-time Pro Bowler who starred on both sides of the line in Baltimore. After sliding from right to left in 2020 following the season-ending leg injury for Ronnie Stanley, Brown didn’t allow a sack of Lamar Jackson.

The Chiefs are hoping he provides similar protection for Patrick Mahomes in their quest to become only the fourth team in league history to appear in three straight Super Bowls.
