With the NFL preseason in full swing, the Vikings could benefit from adding a few free agents that are still on the market.

The Minnesota Vikings are a team in which we don’t know what to expect in 2021. They have big time playmakers on offense and a solid linebacking corps on defense, plus they had a solid draft. That taken into consideration, there are still obvious holes on their roster.

There is a plethora of free agent talent still available as we inch our way through the preseason, a few of which Minnesota should take a look at.

Vikings: Which free agents should they target?

1. CB Gareon Conley

The Vikings lack depth in the secondary after the release of Jeff Gladney, so targeting a cornerback is a must.

Many may ask why Richard Sherman isn’t the name here. Well, with Patrick Peterson already on the team, adding another veteran on what would be a one year deal doesn’t seem ideal for a secondary that needs younger talent.

Conley has proven his dependability with both the Raiders and Texans. He may not be worthy of a starting role, but having him as the CB3 on their depth chart would be a fine spot for him.
