Canada will be looking to continue the momentum from their run to the 2022 FIFA World Cup and top their CONCACAF Nations League group. A win in Curacao on Saturday would help them in that quest and set them up nicely for the group finale on Tuesday.
Anything less than a victory against a tricky Curacao team would transform Tuesday’s match against Honduras into a must-win scenario for the Canadians.
Meanwhile, Curacao, a team with experienced players based across Europe, is playing its final Nations League group match and they are trying to avoid a last-place finish that would mean relegation to the Nations League second tier.

30th min.: Chance Curacao! Juninho Bacuna with an ambitious shot from distance that goes wide. And it comes moments after Canada’s Stephen Eustaquio has to block another cross from the right, this time from Rangel Janga, who’s proving a handful for the Canadian defenders.
The pressure from Curacao is increasing with every minute here.
23rd min.: Goal Canada! Jonathan David continues his hot run of form with a poacher’s goal. He poked home a cross from right wingback Richie Laryea, who slipped a ball behind the defense.

13th min.: YELLOW cards to the right-back for both teams. Richie Laryea and Jurien Gaari tussle in the Canada box before a Curacao set piece and the referee gives both a caution card. The ensuing dead ball bounces dangerously in the Canada box, but the ref whistles play dead.
11th min.: Chance Canada! It’s Jonathan David with a shot from just inside the box which strikes the side netting. David wasn’t wasting any time as soon as he got the ball on an exchange with Jonathan Osorio on that left side.
9th min.: Chance Curacao! Stephen Eustaquio has to intervene to stop a cross from reaching Juninho Bacuna. Nothing comes of the corner, but Curacao look dangerous on the right wing through Brandley Kuwas, who plays for Turkish club Giresunspor.
5th min.: Subdued start to the match, but Canada have more quality on the ball and earned an early corner kick, but nothing came of it. Curacao are panicking around their area and just looking to clear. Canada look settled to start.
1st min.: We’re off with Curacao in blue on the ball early. Canada are wearing their red kits.
