VIDEO: Watch Notts County’s goal to give them the lead against Wrexham

What a fine strike it was from Bostock, a truly stunning effort.

HT: That’s all she wrote for the opening 45 minutes. Notts lead through a fantastic strike from Bostock. Wrexham shouldn’t be too disheartened as they’ve looked dangerous at times, they’re going to need to remain composed in the second half.

45+3 min: NOTTS COUNTY LEAD! An absolutely incredible free-kick from Bostock. It’s a left-footed curler into the top right and Foster was well beaten. The Wrexham fans are stunned. It’s his first goal since 2016!

43rd min: Mullin absolutely flies into a challenge and also goes into the referee’s book. Half-time is approaching…

40th min: Rawlinson receives a yellow card for blatantly blocking Palmer who got the better of the Notts defender. Wrexham’s free-kick is whipped way over the bar by Mullin.

33rd min: Cameron tries to bend one into the bottom left corner but Foster gets down well to parry it wide for a corner. Notts’ short corner routine ends with the ball going out for a goal kick.

30th min: Wrexham are knocking on the door. Mullin again gets in behind and Slocombe rushes out to clear the ball and maybe slightly touches the forward who goes down protesting for a penalty. Again, no penalty awarded.

26th min: Notts are playing a really high line and fortunately for them, the linesman is keen to raise his flag. Some of these calls are incredibly tight. You get the feeling it won’t be long before Mullin or Palmer time their run to perfection.

18th min: Mullin is starting to cause Notts’ back line some issues here as he is finding some space in behind to run into. He just needs one of his teammates to pick him out now.

12th min: Mullin goes down in the box but the referee waves play on. Cameron isn’t looking at the ball and pushes the Wrexham striker down in the box. The home side can feel hard done by there, it should have been a penalty.

7th min: O’Brien hits it first time from outside of the box but it goes way wide and Foster is yet to be tested. Notts have definitely started the brighter of the two teams so far.

4th min: Notts have been on the front foot in these opening few minutes and have already put pressure on Ben Foster who clears the ball in a panic. Wrexham are easing themselves into this one.

1st min: We are underway! Who comes out on top in arguably the biggest game in the National League’s history?

10 mins from kickoff: The atmosphere is building nicely inside the Racecourse Ground! Both teams have completed their warm-ups. Next up is kickoff!

20 mins from kickoff: Here come the away side.

30 mins from kickoff: A reminder of what happened last time out. Notts County hosted Wrexham earlier in the season and back in October, Macaulay Langstaff scored the only goal in the opening 15 minutes.

60 mins from kickoff: Team news has arrived!

70 mins from kickoff: It is an absolutely spectacular afternoon in North Wales.

75 mins from kickoff: There is only really one way of describing this match today, it really is the best vs. the best. Both sides are on 100 points, both sides have scored 106 goals and Wrexham have the best home form meanwhile Notts County have the best away form in the league! A cracker at the Racecourse Ground awaits…

90 mins from kickoff: As if this match needed any additional reason to watch, Friday’s results made it even tighter at the top.
