Liverpool vs Bournemouth live score, updates, highlights & result as Reds return to Anfield in Premier League

Sports

ANFIELD, LIVERPOOL — It might seem over the top to describe the second game of any club’s season as a must-win, but that is arguably the position Liverpool find themselves in.

Jurgen Klopp’s side started the last campaign with back-to-back draws in the Premier League, and did little more than disappoint from there.

And so, after playing out a stalemate with Chelsea on the opening day this time around, they will be desperate to get three points on the board in their first home outing.

Standing in their way is a Bournemouth side who also drew their opener, and who will be out to make a statement that they deserve to be feared under new coach Andoni Iraola.

The Sporting News is following the match live from Anfield and providing commentary and highlights below.
