Dancing With the Stars Season 32 Sets Expanded Premiere as Series Returns to ABC; Jamie Lynn Spears Joins Cast

Spoilers

ABC is forging ahead with its all-reality fall schedule, and we have an exciting update about Dancing With the Stars.

TV Line reports that the highly-anticipated Season 32 will premiere Tuesday, September 26, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

We’re getting an extended premiere as the series returns to its former home after a one-season detour to Disney+.

The premiere will clock in at 2.5 hours, which probably means we’ll be getting more dancing than ever before.

The premiere will lead into a Dancing With the Stars-themed installment of Celebrity Family Feud at 10:31 p.m. ET/PT.

Revealing the premiere date with just two weeks to go is a big swing, but we’re sure the season’s casting news will dominate the headlines in the coming days.

As previously reported, Ariana Madix (Vanderpump Rules) and Charity Lawson (The Bachelorette) are our first two stars for Dancing With the Stars Season 32.

There have been rumors about who will be joining them in competition for the Mirrorball Trophy, thanks to ABC teasing the heck out of the cast on social media.

The network did reveal Tuesday morning that Jamie Lynn Spears was the latest competitor for the next season.

She’s coming off the Zoey 102 movie and Netflix’s Sweet Magnolias.

All we can do is speculate at this stage before the entire cast is unveiled on Good Morning America on Wednesday morning.

As previously reported, Tyra Banks will not return as host, with former dancing pro Julianne Hough set to co-host with Alfonso Ribeiro.

Witney Carson, Cheryl Burke, and Mark Ballas are all sitting out of the upcoming season.

ABC announced earlier this year that the show would be staging a comeback to the network after one season on Disney+.
